Why is Fortnite not working? Latest update on Chapter 5 2: Myths & Mortals

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 was supposed to release on March 8, but like servers are down, what’s going on with the game, you know?

This new season, called Myths and Mortals, is all about Greek mythology, very intriguing stuff. Over the past weekend, during a live event, Pandora’s Box got opened by the community and all sorts of evils were unleashed, oh boy.

Fortnite dropped hints that Olympian legends such as Hades and that thunder god Zeus are in charge of the Island in a super angry way and now you gotta use mythological powers against them in this new cool season.

new places are now in the map, like Mount Olympus, Grim Gate, The Underworld, and Brawler’s Battleground. And you can even get new powers, like the Thunderbolt of Zeus and being able to fly with the Wings of Icarus. They also mentioned the Chains of Hades as a new power coming up later in the season or something.

So, as the servers are down, when can you expect to play this new Fortnite season? Here’s the scoop.

When are Fortnite servers going up?

At 7:14 a.m., @FortniteStatus posted and mentioned it was gonna take at least eight more hours to get everything running smoothly and that they’re working super fast, you know. So basically, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths & Mortals probably won’t be up until at least 3 p.m. MST or so.

The most recent update at 2:03 p.m., where the account said, “pre-download an updated version of v29.00 in approximately 5 hours.” Messy, right?

When does this new Fortnite season come out?

Fortnite Battle Royale Myths and Mortals should be dropping on Friday, March 8, or so they say. Fortnite mentioned on X that Chapter 5 Season 2 would be up by 3 a.m. EST, midnight PST, and 1 a.m. MST, but ugh, servers, man!
